How Examination will be conducted:

Let me explain here that most of the PSU banks the pattern of exams for Probationary Officer are almost same. The Exam consist of – Objective test & Descriptive test. The Objective test would have the following sections – Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude, and Test of English & General awareness. There will be 0.25 marks reduced for each wrong answer as negative marking.
Most important facts it is necessary for candidates to pass in each section of the objective test.

The descriptive test will expect candidates to write essay-type answers on questions given. Normally it would for 60 mins & the test is only to qualify nature. The marks awarded are not added to final selection or ranking, but you have to clear this test.

Preparation and Time Management is the Key to success:

We see the question paper of Bank PO Consist of 250 questions. Questions are very easy but required a lot of time to solve all the questions but the time duration is only 150 Mint. So any candidate who have practice the question at home before exam can easily get through.

What are the subject required to be Prepared?

For bank Po Reasoning is most important as it required lot of practice to get through. It is observed that the reasoning is the subject which consume more time in solution and candidate get confused in it. So the solution of this is that prepares and practices as much time as you can. Be selective in reasoning’s. Allocate maximum time for preparing Aptitude & Reasoning sections. Similarly, focus more on these sections during the test, as they are prone to confuse you often.

Next section which also required practice and hard work is Quantitative aptitude. QA will deal with basic maths – algebra, profit loss, percentage problems, arithmetic problems etc. Books of Std.9th or 10th would help in preparing for this. Math’s in PO exam is so easy that even class 8 students can solved easily but it require practice and continuously to save the time in the examinations.

Don’t Ignore Easy section:

General awareness and General English is the easiest section in the bank post exams. This section consume very less time as either you know or do not know the questions. Prepare for the general awareness and get success. You must Know about the facts about India, Indian Polity, Geography of India, Analysis of Vital National and international Events, Important news from Sports worlds, Science and Technology developments, Trade and corporate update, Indian Constitutional developments , Honour and Awards, memorable news and points etc. General awareness needs no introduction as questions are asked only from general events, economic development , people & organizations. Read newspapers with special focus on banking & finance, money markets, global business.

For General English knowledge of grammar is important one. English verbs patterns and sentence structures. Test of English will have questions on grammar, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, fill-in-the blanks; sentence formation etc., Books on basic English language would suffice.
