CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh
Board (CHB) on Friday kicked off application process for a housing scheme offering 492 flats in Sector 53. The last
housing scheme in the city was launched in 2008 in Sector 63.
Those interested can file applications only through the official website of the CHB. The forms can be filled till November 30.
One, two and three-bedroom flats are being offered under
(HIG), middle income group (MIG) and low-income group (LIG). The HIG has 192 flats, MIG has 100 flats and LIG has 120 flats. Besides, 80 flats are under EWS category.
The CHB would assess the interest of the people and then start the construction. "After receiving the applications, the CHB will gauge the response for the flats. The assessment is crucial to bring this this highly-rated scheme in the city after such a long period," said a senior officer of the board.
Applicants will have to deposit Rs 10,000 while submitting the forms. On the other hand, the CHB has fixed Rs 5,000 fee for applicants under the economic weaker section (EWS) category. The fee has to be submitted online.
