Campus Recruitment Procedure (Campus Placements)
Most Colleges/Universities that offer campus recruitment facilitate the recruitment through a special department known as the placement department. The placement department is managed by placement officer who looked after the whole recruitment and training process.
Given are the various stages/steps involved in the Campus recruitment process are as follows.

- Pre Placement Talk :
Pre placement talk is a presentation that is given by the recruitment company’s HR and recruiting team. The motto of Pre Placement talk is to let the candidate aware about the various aspects of the company such as its profile , history, achievements, organizational goals, vision, mission, quality policy, products and services. The role of the job offered, job responsibilities , selection process, Salary structure , Job designation etc. are also discussed in detail. In most of the cases this pre-placement talk is presented by the senior managers of the company or the HR Team.
- Aptitude Test
Aptitude Test is conducted to Test candidate’s Problem solving ability and to test how efficiently a student can respond to a task or a situation and their communication skills. The area those are generally tested are Numerical Ability and Quantitative Aptitude, Logical reasoning, Verbal Ability (General English) ,Data sufficiency and Interpretation.
- Quantitative Aptitude
In this section of Quantitative Aptitude candidate is asked MCQ from most of the topicscovered in high school along with some advanced topics. The various topics from which questions may be asked are Number system, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Time and distance, Mixture and allegation, permutation and combination , probability, geometry and algebra.
- Verbal Ability
This area tests candidate’s reading ability and level of Grammar. The type of questions that may be asked in verbal ability section include Spotting Errors, Sentence Improvements, Para- Jumbled, Reading Comprehension, idioms and phrases, letter writing, essay writing.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning
This section is asked to test candidate’s logical and analytical ability. The questions are generally asked from Coding- Decoding, Series, Puzzles, Cause and effect, Direction and Ranking.
- Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency
In the section of Data Interpretation and Sufficiency , Data is presented inthe form of Table chart, bar graph , line graph etc. Candidate has to go through the questions given below and solve the question by interpreting the data.
- Group Discussion
Candidates those are shortlisted from Aptitude test are further called for Group Discussion. In this round recruiting team evaluate certain personality traits like confidence, communicating with the team, participation, ability to present one’s views in a clear and concise manner, interpersonal skills, leadership skills etc. In the GD round there are Minimum 5 And Maximum 10 candidates and the topic of the discussion is generally related to Current Topics, hypothetical situations, problematic situations, abstract topics etc.
- Technical Interview
This is the pre final round of the selection process where candidate’s technical ability is tested. Candidate is expected to know the entire subject he studied in the graduation. There is no such defined syllabus for the part as HR can ask any sort of technical questions.
- HR Interview
This is the last and the final step of recruitment process where the candidate is assessed for his communication, attitude , confidence, flexibility , enthusiasm, behavior skills etc. It is advised that candidate should be confident but not over confident in this round of recruitment process. Candidate should be honest and polite in answering the questions and also ask questions to the company HR regarding the basic policies, procedure and CTC also.
