Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invited applications for the post of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO). The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 15 August 2018.
Candidates who are interested in this job profile should have graduate or post graduate degree from any recognised Indian university to apply for the post. The age limit should be between 21 to 30 years of age.

LIC AAO Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Aspirant of LIC AAO Job who are applying for Assistant Administrative Officer service should hold Bachelors’/ Masters’ Degree from recognized university institution with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate in either of the Degrees.
Age Limit
The age limit is relaxable as per different categories of reservation segregated below:
• General Candidates: Min-21 years, Max- 30 years
• SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
• OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation
• PwD (Gen) Candidates: 10 years relaxation
• PwD (SC/ST) Candidates: 15 years relaxation
• PwD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years relaxation

LIC AAO Recruitment 2018 Selection Procedure
Candidates who will apply and get shortlisted for LIC AAO Job will be required to appear for the online exam. Once the candidate will qualify in the online exam conducted by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) then he/ she will be called for an interview. After the successful completion of online exam and interview, the applicants will have to go through document check after which they will be eligible to join the service.
LIC AAO Recruitment 2018 Examination Pattern
As mentioned in the selection procedure, the examination conducted by LIC would be online. The online written exam would be conducted by the organization which would be set on objective type multiple choice questions. It will be an online examination of 120 minutes i.e., 2 hours. The questions will include Reasoning Ability Test (90 marks), Quantitative Aptitude Test (90 marks), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (60 marks), Computer Knowledge Test (60 marks). All these sections would have 30 questions each. Moreover, there will also be questions from English i.e., English Language Test with special emphasis on Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension of 300 marks including 160 questions.

LIC AAO Recruitment 2018 Salary Structure
Basic pay of Rs. 17240/- per month in the scale of Rs. 17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4) –32640 (Under Revision) and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs 40,245/- per month in ‘A’ Class city.

Reasoning: Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
English Language: Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.
Quantitative Aptitude: Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
G.K. & Current Affairs: Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector. Some questions from Marketing can come in the exam.
Computer Knowledge: Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology. Remember short cut Tricks of MS Word, MS Excel & Computer Abbreviations.

Pre-exam training for OBC/ SC/ST candidates:
OBC/ SC/ST candidates who wish to avail the benefit of pre examination training may register their name and other details with the Divisional Office of LIC of India convenient to them. The Divisional Office will inform the registered candidates, the date and venue of the training. Such candidates would have to attend the training at their own cost on the appointed dates and at the venue advised to them. Candidates are required to refer to the website under the tab “Careers” for address of the Divisional Offices of LIC.
- Interview:
i. Candidates who successful in the Online test will be called for an Interview. Candidate who does not obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the Interview shall be disqualified for further selection.
ii. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled in subject to availability of successful candidates in the online examination and will be purely as per their ranking in their respective category. - Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment.
